Premium Charred Timber Cladding

Durable, fire-treated wood cladding for contemporary architecture and natural design

We produce high-quality charred timber cladding using a controlled fire treatment based on Shou Sugi Ban. Charring selected timbers improves durability, weather resistance, and long-term performance without chemical preservatives.

Our cladding suits modern architecture, offering consistent char levels and refined exterior finishes that create a distinctive look while enhancing the wood’s natural properties for low maintenance and long life. We work with architects, designers, and contractors, providing technical information and project-specific guidance for accurate specification and installation.

Our Process

Step 1

Wood selection

Step 2

Profiling

Carefully selected timber is chosen for its quality, stability and suitability for charring

Boards are planed and machined to their final profile prior to treatment, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Step 4

Oiling

The timber surface is charred using a controlled fire treatment process based on traditional Shou Sugi Ban principles, enhancing durability and weather resistance.

A protective oil is applied to stabilise the charred surface, deepen colour, and support long term performance
